Tulun Kitsune: Though heavily referenced in the ancient stories and lore of the Dracen people, Kitsune were thought all but extinct and creatures of legend until the time of The Reckoning when, those who were trapped in their fox persona’s were finally free to change shape once again. Ancient Kitsune were seen as wily and playfully mischievous, used to teach children the importance of various morals and the consequences of their actions. They were often depicted as spirits of deception, and using guile to win in situations where they seemed unmatched. Since their return to society Kitsune are seen with a degree of suspicion but also veneration. To have a Kitsune guest arrive at your home in Omishiru is seen as a boon, but also a difficult situation due to their supposed connection with luck. To upset a Kitsune is to invite bad luck, and whether true or not it is a preconception Kitsune do nothing to discourage.
Place of Origin: Kitsune are exclusively found in the land of Omishiru, and primarily in the less built-up rural areas. Though they travel into the urban settlements, like a fox they prefer to live on the fringes and exercise their skills in guile and trickery. Though rare for a Kitsune to remain in one place it is not unheard of, especially if they gain a connection with individuals – or more commonly a single individual – there.
