Tulun Kobolds: Though nobody is exactly sure where the Kobolds came from, they seem to have always been a part of the Omishiru landscape. When the Dracen first came to power with the aid of the Dragons, the Kobolds were there. When the Vishkanya and Naga waged wars against the “People of the Dragon”, the Kobolds stood by their masters. Making up the working class of the Empire, Kobolds have a hard but purposeful life, working as farmers, merchants and other menial roles, but in turn are protected by and provided for by their Dracen lords and masters.
While Kobolds are not slaves by any means, they are most certainly aware of their place and make up an important part of the hierarchy of the Eastern Kingdom. They perform the duties the Dracen are unwilling to do, and that which the Vishkanya and Nagaji are not in a position to do.
Since the time of The Reckoning, and the return of magic into the world, Kobold Clerics and Paladins were recognized by the Dragon Emperor and as such, Kobolds as a whole have gained a boost of status among the Imperials. After all, if the Kami (Gods, after a fashion) choose to work through them, they must not be so inferior after all…
Place of Origin: Almost all Kobolds are born in or around Omishiru and most never leave the borders of the mystical eastern realm of Omishiru. Those who do are often very adventurous or possessing a great wanderlust, though they are most certainly not a ‘typical’ Kobold.
