Tulun Vanaras: Magical creatures being brought high is more common in Omishiru than in most people in the world. Along with the Kitsune and Tengu, the Vanara were once chimpanzees until The Mystic Era when they were transformed. Fast, nimble and mischievous, they adapted to their new life with more ease than their fox and crow-based cousins as at first at least, not much changed. They still lived in tribes among the trees, in large families and deep in the wilderness. Over the years the Vanara explored the civilisations that sprung up around them but rarely interacted with them very much. Even today, Vanara in cities is a rare thing, they are happier in open spaces where they have room to jump, climb and swing. Seen as spirits of freedom, Vanara offer fealty to no-one, but because they care nothing of conquest or holding power over people, they have never been tamed by the Dragon Empire.
Place of Origin: Almost all Vanara still reside in the eastern Kingdom of Omishiru, primarily in the southern parts of the land.
